New Years Eve at 4 Olives!
And might I say, it was not cheap!! Here's the skinny: We walk into 4 Olives, a place that none of us frequent but consider New Years an exception, sit down in the lounge to wait for our table, and us girls start with a bottle of wine while the boys have a drink. The conversation is lively, the atmosphere is hopping, everything is going great so far.
We sit at our table, drinks in hand, as the waitress hands us our menus. The table is nicely accomodating, with napkins neatly folded, water already in glasses, and a candle burning in the center. The waitress (she is very nice) goes on to explain that the menu tonight is a "short option menu" meaning you choose between only three options of appetizers, entrees, etc. However, she also mentioned it was a five course meal ONLY at $80 a piece. Suddenly the music stops, everyone is quiet, the candle burns out, you can a little cricket churping in the dark. I believe at that time, one of us said, with our voice trembling, "You mean $80 for EACH MEAL and we have no other choice?" The waitress, suddenly unfriendly and with a much deeper voice said, "yes" and stomped off. So we all (after crying silently) finished our drinks and drank water the rest of the time.

Okay so most of this is the truth! We still had a great time!
